The idol of Manusuwratnath Bhagwaan (20th Tirthankar) is 4.5 feet in height and dark green color is installed in an underground basement. The basement stands on 16 beautiful carved pillars, a unique piece of art & architecture. 6 other idols of 13th century are also here.
This place is described in Nirvankand. Shri Siddhant Chakrivarti Acharya Nemichandra wrote two sharstra (Religions texts) here- Laghu Dravya Samgraha & Brihad Dravya Samgraha.
In ancient times this city was popular as Ashrampattan or Ashramnagar.
Atishay:
When Mohammad Gaury invaded India, he also attacked this temple and tried to break the miraculous idol. When the soldiers applied chisel & hammer on the thumb of a foot, a flood of milk started from there. Marks of attack on the body of idol are still visible.
