The huge mountain stands as the second highest peak in Maharashtra at 4500+ feet, and is the same Mountain where Hanuman took birth to Sati Anjana. The easiest way to reach the mountain is from the Anjaneri Village. As per the inscription of 12th century there were 108 Jain temple at the bottom of this hill. What remains now is two jain cave temples on hill, where you have Lord Mallinath in sitting posture (3 feet in hight), carved in the wall, and in scond cave there were five idols. There are more ruins around the foot of the Temple (10-12), and 3-4 Digambar Jain Temples are in a very bad state and almost on the verge of getting converted to ruins. One of the temple has Mahavir Idol 5 feet in Padmasana posture. This place is just 16 km from Gajapantha Siddha Kshetra! The Google Map showz the exact location of Ajneri
